2023, Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret, BOURGOGNE, AligotéThis has proven itself to be a delicious version of Aligot. Dry, lively and fruity. Bottled early in order to preserve its freshness and fruitiness. The colour can be likened to white gold and the perfume reminiscent of very fresh grapes and green apples. Aligot's liveliness and acidity make it an excellent appetiser or aperitif and of course as the perfect base for Kir. Mongeard Mugneret hand sort in the winery and ferment in 100% stainless steel.

The wine is quite high-toned on the nose with black cherries

It's still quite angular with edges of sweet spice

with gently handled fruit just starting to flesh out on the back end

smells a bit green and underripe

This is actually a hair higher in acidity and lower in pH than the Haut-Brion 2007
